A few other interests besides painting includes website builds and management, video creation, and producing photo books for my family.
Books
I completed a 175-page bound book in 2024 titled “Moms’ Recipe Box Cookbook,” which is a compilation of family recipes my mom accumulated during her lifetime as a homemaker.
My most recent project is a hardcover photo book titled "Ranchito Sereno Peruvian Paso Horses," a celebration of our 19 years of horse ownership, with the first twelve years as a horse breeding business and the final seven with our two beloved Peruvian Paso geldings for riding pleasure.
Future projects include photo books in remembrance of my mother-in-law's adventurous life, and of our travels during these past 30 years throughout the USA, Peru, and with more still to be added.
Videos
My first family video was a dedication to my parents, titled "Celebration of 80 Years." This was a 2011 project, of an hour long video showcasing them from childhood through their great-grandparenting stage of life. I recently recreated the video to meet current video formats.
My next major project was in 2024; it was a conversion of my family's Super 8 films and then compilation into a modern-day video format. It's wonderful to easily revisit the short clips taken from 1980 or so.
We raised and bred Peruvian Paso horses from 2000-2012, then purchased two geldings for our riding pleasure that we brought with us to TX from Peru. We have been horse-less since autumn of 2019. We raised 22 horses—8 were foals during that time period. These videos are included as links in my horses photo book.
