Artist
Cecile aspires to capture the spirit and emotion of each painting she creates in her studio. She just loves painting in pastel! She can just about feel the draw of her hand to put these fantastic colors onto a surface, be it animals or people, ocean spray or mountainous backgrounds. As a visitor of Peru for 28 years, Cecile is constantly in awe of their history, admire the people, adore the llamas, alpacas and vicuñas, and especially the Peruvian Paso horses, which her family raised and bred for pleasure for a dozen years in Texas. As a longtime resident of central Texas and avid traveler, the people, places and animals she encounters are her main subjects for painting. Several of Cecile’s pastel paintings can be seen in private homes and juried art exhibitions around central Texas.
